Some Things Are Worth Protecting

This photo was taken during my freshman year of high school.

Most people would probably assume this story is about my cross-country race.

It wasn’t.

It was a fire.

Back in high school, what started as a routine fire drill quickly turned into a real fire. While everyone else was evacuating, I ran into the computer lab. I unplugged the school’s file server, picked it up with my skinny arms, and carried it outside.

My teacher looked at me like I was crazy.

I told her, “If the school burns down, we have to save the server.”

Looking back, I think the same determination that carried me through my cross-country season also showed up that day in the computer lab. I wasn’t trying to save a piece of hardware. I was trying to protect something people depended on.

That instinct has stayed with me throughout my entire career.

I don’t just fix computers. I help protect the systems, data, and technology that businesses rely on every day. Because when technology fails, it isn’t just a computer problem — it affects people, customers, employees, and livelihoods. That’s why small business data protection is at the heart of everything I do.

Technology has changed dramatically since that day. My mindset hasn’t.

It’s the same commitment I bring to every client at Digital Evolutions: treating every system as if the people behind it are counting on me.

Because they are.

Automate IT. Secure IT. Evolve IT.
